Francesca Suzanne Levaggi

Proprietor / Steward

The steward of this heirloom family property is a 5th generation Californian whose life’s dream is to bring the B. Levaggi General Mercantile Buildings back to their full glory and potential.  She intends to honor her ancestors, California History and offer future generations a tangible link to their past.  Francesca is uniquely qualified to accomplish these goals well.

Francesca has designed and overseen the construction of several historic renovations and has designed public and private spaces internationally.  She was the Historian Fellow for the Golden Gate National Parks Association and for the National Recreation Association.  She is a member of the Society of California Pioneers.

Francesca taught graduate level Landscape Architecture design studios at University of California Berkeley, University of California Davis and UC Berkeley Extension.  She has been a visiting critic at Colorado University Boulder and Colorado University Denver and other schools.

She lives in the high mountains with her family.
